A quiet room for the people who hold other people's weeks.

Therapy is done alone in a room and then carried alone afterwards. The Thornfield community is where our clinicians, our trainees and the people who have come through our CPD days keep each other honest — case dilemmas, reading, the business of running a practice, and the parts of the work nobody puts on a website.

What is inside

The feed

One thread a week posed by a faculty member, plus whatever anyone else brings. Slow by design — nobody is expected to be here daily.

Rooms by interest

Group facilitation, trauma work, neurodivergence, private-practice admin. Join the two you actually read and ignore the rest.

Events

The monthly consultation group, journal club, and an in-person supper twice a year at Belmont Street.

Course material

Slides, protocols and recordings from every CPD day, kept current rather than archived and forgotten.

The community runs on its own address rather than inside this site, so it stays private and keeps working when the marketing pages change. Members get the link with their invitation.

How the room works

No identifiable client material. Anonymise properly or do not post — there is no grey area and moderators will remove a post without discussion.
No recruiting, no selling, no supervision touting. Faculty answer questions here for free and it stays that way.
Disagreement is welcome and being pleasant about it is not optional.
What is posted here is not clinical advice and does not create any duty of care between members.

Membership is free but not open — we check that you are a practising clinician or a trainee under supervision before opening the door. It usually takes a day.
